We were planning to have their engagement session done in Baguio and Benguet, but the pandemic hit us really hard, making travel a pretty big hassle. We waited until things eased out, but we did not settle for less – with them having a “Filipiniana”-themed engagement session.
Mac proposed to Kate last December of 2020. Now, they’re on their way to saying their I do’s this March of 2021. A short but sweet engagement for these two indeed!
These two met in a very unconventional way – Ten was the lighting contractor hired by Rinnah’s father for their church. On a certain business meeting, Rinnah arrived in a yellow-green car, running over the gutter, towards the parking slot she desired. Rinnah was then introduced by her father to Ten as the “Most Reckless Kid” in the family, but Ten saw her in a different light – he saw determination in Rinnah’s recklessness. Well, first impressions last, right?
Our Subic bride and groom wanted nothing but a chill engagement session, at which, Carla requested for us to shoot at a Ministop branch they own, at the heart of SBMA. With a few chips that got tossed, a few bottles of liquor and softdrinks that got took out of the freezer, we were able to pull off this one-of-a-kind session (And did I mention that I went inside the freezer to shoot?).
Arjay and Joycee booked us at the Weddings and Beyond Bridal Fair last January 2020. Our initial plan was to do their pre-wedding shoot last February in Singapore (alongside our vacation trip), but with the pandemic looming right around the corner, we did not push through. Back in Manila, we decided to do the “Earth, Wind, Fire and Water”-themed shoot at The Heirloom Manila, with Arjay and Joycee’s leaning towards architecture and vintage looks.
Milo was an officemate of mine back when I was still working in the BPO industry. When I saw online about his engagement with Prousel, I was very eager to pitch the idea of us working together for their dream wedding. Milo and Prousel wanted to do the Engagement Session by the beach, so we suggested a ton of beaches in the South. We ended up doing the shoot at Stilts – a very common beach location, so we we’re challenged to take a different approach with this, but we we’re able to pull off an amazing set.
Before everything dived into the year-long quarantine, one of the bravest couples we have ever met – Roy and Mita – went on with us to make photographs. These photos we’re made ONE DAY BEFORE THE ECQ.
It’s not our first time making photos of “Men and Women in Uniform”, but this is our first time wherein BOTH the couple are members of the Philippine National Police. Mark reminds me of Resident Evil’s Chris Redfield, while Rachelle reminds me of Dino Crisis’ Regina, especially when they put out their firearms (mind you, they are LEGIT, and they are heavy). It was a regular day for us when I received the call from Chad. I didn’t have any idea that it would be the day that will change our lives. Chad and Jec we’re already married (in a civil ceremony, 2017). Two years after, they’ll be married in a catholic ceremony. Chad called me and was, at first, sounding hesitant, asking about our wedding photo and video packages. It was then when he told me the whole story behind him, asking for our rates (even though their already posted in our SHOP Tab). Chad and Jec decided that they want us to tell their wedding story. So we decided to meet them up, plan and finalize everything. With this in mind, we did not want to waste Chad and Jec’s trust, so we dealt with the cards that we’re given to us and these – these photos of them – are what we made. More than just clients, Chad and Jec became totally close to our hearts. It’s like meeting that friend you have in your past life, in the present. Back in 2016, at the UAAP Cheerdance Competition, news broke out about a Med School Student who said YES to a wedding proposal during the same event. Indeed, a lot of reasons to cheer and celebrate. Come 2019, here they are, getting married, and, we’re very lucky to be the one’s who will make their wedding photos and videos.
