The answer to the most asked question: Why “Rainwalker”, or why not?
Hey there, Rainwalkers! Yes, we’re here, and we’re still alive and kicking (kicking detours and roadblocks the entire year of 2024)!
It’s been a while since we posted anything on our website – yeah, we know. But if you miss us, we miss you, too (Awwwwww!).
Kruno and Mel’s (2nd) Wedding is more of a cultural experience than anything else – yes, it’s their second wedding (because two is better than one), since they got married in Croatia, prior to getting married here in the Philippines. This wedding, showed Kruno how we Pinoys do weddings – how families reunite, how traditions of Filipino Weddings are and how a Filipina Bride gets to party!
We have always believed in telling the stories through moments and photographs. We have always believed in the magic of weddings. We have always believed that no matter how grand or how simple your wedding may be, we’ll be there to tell every detail and every particularity, for every wedding story will always be a story worth telling. Here, we have Pee Jay and Marissa’s Intimate take on weddings, with the entire Rainwalker Photography Experience – from their preparations up the end of the reception. Skim through the photos to see how beautiful simple weddings can be – especially when you focus on what really matters, the essence of weddings.
Airo and Janina were not only classmates back in college, but they were the best of friends (or are they, really?). Airo was sort of the PIKON one, while Janina’s your PRAKNSTER. One time, Airo was sleeping inside their classroom, when Janina and her classmates made fun of him by dumping their bags on Airo’s back. when Airo woke up, Janina was the only one he caught in the act. Airo stormed out of their classroom, played the game of ignore with Janina, but ended up saying sorry to her afterwards. Another time, Airo – the business-minded one – sold peanuts and sweet beans during breaks. Janina then made fun of Airo (yet again), by saying “Libre naman diyan!”. Airo, dignified, replied: “WALANG CRUSH-CRUSH DITO! MAGBAYAD KA!”
For the past years that we have been doing weddings, we still get amazed by the “hidden gems” of locations that are yet to be discovered. Take, for instance, John Timothy and Jaymie Ann’s Engagement Session at Hilom Studio by Solace.
We have known Laurence since 2018. We met him when we were looking for a licensed aerial pilot for one of our 2018 weddings. Since then, Laurence has been a main part of Rainwalker Photography’s team. Then came Marielle. Laurence and Marielle met through a common friend – days of...
In a world where we don’t always get what we want, if given a chance, there are things that are really, really worth fighting for. Marc and Charina’s story is a mix of roadblocks and triumphs, proving that life can be rough at the worst of it, but life can also be won over, with the right person beside you.
What Alexis and Arlene had in mind for an engagement session was a no-fuss, no-bells-and-whistles shoot, so we suggested doing the pre-wedding in one of the most common places in QC, since we’ll be doing a mini-food crawl afterwards near Tomas Morato. We think they really had fun with the simplicity and minimalism of their pre-wedding.
When we talk about Manila, what comes to our minds, usually, is the hustle and bustle of daily urban living. Gerick and Kathreena initially wanted an Intramuros E-session, but we recommended a better place, with a beter view, above the Manila Skyline – White Noise Creative Space. Afterwards, we took a quick stroll at the newly-erected Binondo-Intramuros Bridge. a healthy mix of Manila nostalgia and contemporary architecture, just like Gerick and Kathreena.
Christian and Nikki had us as their FOURTH CHOICE for their Photo and Video Supplier. We’re not really the 1st choice type, we know, mainly because of our shooting style. Christian and Nikki’s first choice was no longer available to shoot their wedding, ad they ended up with us, because of – you guesed it – the blog post about “How to Prepare for an Engagament Session?”, which I wrote. They’re the hands-on type of couple who really are into planning everything, and who are really looking forward to something different. Also, as per Nikki: “Mas magaan po kayo kausap kesa don sa 1st choice ko.”
Malate and Makati are totally close to our hearts since we wanted to shoot a neon-lit pre-wedding. Christian and Nikki made our dream come true, making us realize that our dreams are on their way to becoming a reality, with the help of the right people around us.
